Business Closures Drive Job Losses as 42,807 Workers Retrenched in First Half of 2024
Malaysia saw 42,807 job losses in the first half of 2024, with business closures and company downsizing accounting for over 40 percent of retrenchments, according to Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan.
