118 Mall targets 22 million visitors in first year of operations
The retail centre within the Merdeka 118 precinct expects up to 22 million visitors in year one, driven by the precinct's shopping, hospitality and heritage mix.

KUALA LUMPUR – Shopping destination 118 Mall expects up to 22 million visitors in its first year of operations, driven by the unique strengths of the wider Merdeka 118 precinct ecosystem.
118 Mall Head of Retail Sue Wang said the mall was committed to continuously drawing footfall in order to create sustainable commercial value for all its business partners and tenants.
"In the first year of operations, we expect up to 22 million visitors, driven by the unique advantages of the Merdeka 118 precinct ecosystem as a whole," she said.
Sue Wang said the mall's distinguishing feature lay in the diversity of experiences gathered under one roof, describing 118 Mall as an invitation to build something new together — an invitation to explore, enjoy, be entertained and discover what is unique both in Malaysia and internationally.
PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd (PNBMV) chief executive officer Datuk Ir Ts (Dr) Izwan Ibrahim said 118 Mall had its own strengths as part of the Merdeka 118 precinct ecosystem, which links shopping, hospitality, heritage, tourism and culture in a single complementary destination.
He said these elements formed a dynamic precinct allowing visitors to work, stay and enjoy a range of experiences from day into night.
"The strategic location of this shopping centre will allow it to attract various visitor segments, including tourists, luxury hotel guests, corporate professionals and the local community.
"This diversity of visitor profiles gives us confidence in the long-term potential that can be built together with our business partners and tenants, creating sustainable benefits and growth for all," he said in a statement issued in conjunction with the inaugural 118 Mall Business Partners Gathering held recently.
The event brought together more than 200 business partners and brands set to operate at the mall. Among the anchor partners are premium grocer Village Grocer and Makanism Foodhall.
Fashion and lifestyle brands listed include adidas, ALDO, Converse, Foot Locker, Guess, Lacoste and Benjamin Barker, alongside CHAGEE Signature, Honolu Ramen, Masala Mansion, Donkai and Nara Thai.
Other brands include Babyshop, Best Denki, BookXcess and Happikiddo, together with Maybank Premier Banking.
Local brands that will operate at the mall include Malaysian Artisan District (M.A.D), Banglo 289, Batik Boutique, Bayu Somerset and Cookiecrumbs.
