Ampang MP claims MyKHAS access blocked, affecting constituency allocations

PETALING JAYA: Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail claims her constituency has been blocked from accessing the MyKHAS system since July 29, disrupting the channelling of allocations and community aid.

In a statement today, she said the situation had affected the management of constituency funds meant to assist vulnerable groups, including senior citizens, persons with disabilities (OKU), chronically ill patients and local institutions under the Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR).

Rodziah said what saddened her was that she remained a PKR member and part of the government support bloc backing the unity government's policies, and had never opposed the party throughout her 28 years of service.

"This shows favouritism when six opposition MPs who declared support for the unity government received allocations, but I myself am denied," she said.

Rodziah had earlier drawn controversy for attending an event at which Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli announced his political direction, prompting calls for her to resign over claims that she no longer reflected loyalty to the party's struggle and leadership.

She said no official explanation had been received to date over the withdrawal of the allocation, even though an official letter had been sent to the Prime Minister's Office.

"What is the rationale or the real reason the Ampang parliamentary allocation was suddenly frozen without any explanation? If this anomaly stems from a technical or administrative issue, then I have the right to a transparent and open clarification," she said.

Rodziah stressed that any pressure applied would not weaken her spirit to continue serving.

"The Ampang Parliamentary Service Centre will remain open, service to the people will continue to be strengthened. I will continue to defend the principles of reform, accountability, responsibility, and place the people's interests above all else," she said. – UTUSAN
