Car passenger filmed hanging half his body out of window draws online backlash

PETALING JAYA – A car passenger filmed leaning half of his body out of a moving vehicle's window has drawn sharp criticism from social media users.

Users said the act endangered not only the individual involved but also other road users.

The footage was shared on the Threads app by a user known as Zhafirkz.

In the clip, an individual is seen deliberately pushing half of his body out of the window on the left side of the driver while the car is on the road.

It could not be confirmed whether the individual was an adult or a child, and the location where the video was recorded is also unknown.

Calls for enforcement action

In the comments section, most users condemned the act and urged the authorities to take action against the person involved.

"The video is already there. The number plate and car model are visible, just submit a complaint on the JPJ app," wrote user Mdm._amor.

Another user, Zarina_alim, remarked sarcastically: "He must keep a spare life in a bottle — if he falls and dies he can still come back." (Translated from Malay.)

"Is it a kid or an adult? Maybe he's had enough of life in this world," the user said.

As of the report, no action by the authorities over the incident shown in the recording has been reported.
