Kamarool Haji Yusoff complained of stomach pains since yesterday, says friend

KUALA LUMPUR – Actor Kamarool Haji Yusoff, better known as Cik Wan, who died this afternoon, had complained of stomach pains since yesterday.

This was disclosed by a close friend of the actor known as Padil, who said the deceased was taken to Hospital Tanah Merah for treatment.

“He died at about 5.15pm. Before that, yesterday he was taken to Hospital Tanah Merah in Kelantan after complaining that he was unwell,” he told Utusan Malaysia.

“Then at around Subuh this morning he was sedated because there was a blockage in his heart's blood vessels,” he added.

Cik Wan was confirmed dead this afternoon after being sedated due to the heart condition he suffered from.

Padil said the actor had been admitted to the same hospital about two years ago, also due to a heart blockage.

“He went to the hospital about two years ago because of heart problems.

“A few days ago he suffered gastric pains and was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) by his child for treatment. He was conscious when he was brought to the hospital,” he said.

Padil said the remains, which are still at the hospital, are expected to be buried at about 11am tomorrow.

“For now the body is still at the hospital and once the funeral arrangements are completed it will be taken to his home in Kampung Kuala Paku, Guo Ipoh Tanah Merah,” he said.
