MBSB Bank Visa Debit-i card now available on Samsung Wallet, Google Pay

PETALING JAYA – MBSB Bank Berhad has strengthened its digital banking agenda with the MBSB Bank Visa Debit-i Card now usable via Samsung Wallet and Google Pay, offering customers faster, safer and more practical contactless payments.
Through the integration, customers can add the card to Samsung Wallet or Google Pay to make contactless payments at all Visa-accepting outlets locally and abroad, without carrying the physical card.
Each transaction is verified through the security features on the user's device, while tokenisation technology replaces actual card details with a unique digital identifier to enhance payment security.
MBSB Bank group chief consumer banking officer Usman Ghouse said shifting payment habits require financial institutions to offer more easy, fast and secure digital payment options.
"The way consumers pay is changing rapidly. Banks therefore need to provide a range of easy and secure payment options that can be used through customers' everyday devices," he said in a statement.
"By making the MBSB Bank Visa Debit-i Card available on Samsung Wallet and Google Pay, we are extending this convenience to more customers in their daily dealings."
He said the facility complements the bank's growing digital ecosystem via the M Journey app, which also offers Global Easy Transfer (GET) powered by Wise for overseas remittances at competitive foreign exchange rates, and PrimeGold-i, a digital gold investment platform with entry from as low as RM10.
