KUALA LUMPUR – A composer has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a student following a disagreement over cigarette smoke.
Cheras police chief Aidil Bolhassan said the victim, who is in his mid-30s, is a student at a private institution.
In a statement, Aidil said Cheras police raided an apartment at Razak City Residences at 1.51am on July 26 and arrested the suspect, who is a foreign national.
"The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and Section 506 for criminal intimidation," he said.
The suspect has been remanded until Aug 10.
