Terengganu man found dead in cave in Gua Musang

GUA MUSANG: A man has been found dead inside a cave in Gua Musang, Kelantan, after he entered the cave on his own.
Gua Musang fire and rescue station operations commander Che Razak Harun said a call was received at 9.41pm and 13 firefighters were sent to the location.
He said that upon arrival, firefighters found the victim unconscious in the cave.
"The victim was carried out, but health ministry officials later confirmed the man had died," he said, as reported by Bernama.
Che Razak said the body was handed over to police for further action.
Gua Musang police chief Aik Choon Foo said the man was identified as Heng Pok Seng, from Terengganu. He was on his way to Kuala Lumpur with his sister and a friend, and had stopped to visit a temple in the area.
"At about 8pm, the group checked in at a resort before heading to the cave. The victim entered the cave alone, while his friend waited outside," he said.
"After waiting for about 30 minutes, his friend became concerned and entered the cave to look for the victim but could not find him.
"They then informed the resort owner and conducted a search together before finding the victim in a narrow space in the cave," he said.
Police investigations are continuing.
