PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC) has carried out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to help ease the burden of Pusat Jagaan Al-Fikrah, which requires almost RM80,000 a month to cover operating costs and the welfare of about 70 residents.
MyPAC chief executive officer Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan said the aid channelled included cash donations, daily necessities such as food supplies as well as adult diapers.
She said the contribution was hoped to help meet part of the residents' needs while ensuring their welfare continued to be safeguarded.
"The residents of the care centre comprise senior citizens, chronically ill patients and individuals who need close care, with monthly needs covering medical costs, food and drink as well as management expenses.
"Through this CSR programme, it is hoped that it can help ease the burden of the care centre," she said in a statement today.
Besides the handing over of donations, she said the programme also featured various interactive activities with the residents, including aerobics, group games, quizzes and a karaoke session, creating a cheerful atmosphere and encouraging interaction between volunteers and residents.
