SERDANG – A man died after the car he was driving is believed to have skidded before crashing into a tree along Persiaran Mardi – UPM here.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) operations division assistant director Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the department received a call about the incident at about 10.11pm.
He said the crash involved a Toyota Vios driven by the victim, who was believed to be in his 30s.
"A team of personnel and appliances from the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene at about 10.28pm.
"The victim was found trapped in the vehicle and was successfully extricated at 10.55pm," he said in a statement.
However, he said the victim was pronounced dead by the Health Ministry before the body was handed over to police for further action.
The fire department did not state the cause of the crash, and the victim's identity has not been made public. Police are carrying out further investigations.
