KAJANG – A motorcyclist was killed after he was believed to have lost control of his machine, fell and was run over by a lorry along Jalan Semenyih here this afternoon.
The victim, a 44-year-old foreign national, was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head injuries in the incident at about 4pm.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said initial investigations found that the lorry driver, a 60-year-old local man, was travelling from Sungai Lalang to Batu Pahat, Johor at the time.
“At the scene, the victim, who was carrying a supply of fresh milk, is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle.
“He then fell onto the left road shoulder before going under the lorry,” he said in a statement today.
Naazron said further checks found that the victim did not hold a driving licence, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
