KAJANG – Police have opened an investigation paper into an act of vandalism involving several vehicles sprayed with red paint while parked at the Kajang Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station car park here.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said a report on the incident was lodged at 8.29pm yesterday.
He said preliminary investigations found that the complainant was a 48-year-old local woman who had parked her Perodua Myvi outside the station's parking area at about 6am before taking the MRT to work.
"When she returned at about 6pm, the complainant found traces of red paint sprayed on the right-side window of her vehicle.
"Further checks also found that several other vehicles parked in the same area had traces of red paint spray, believed to have been done by irresponsible parties," he said in a statement today.
Naazron said the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief causing damage.
