PETALING JAYA – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has remanded three more individuals to assist investigations into the alleged misappropriation of Penalty Notice (NOP) charges amounting to about RM450,000.
The suspects are a deputy general manager of construction, an occupational safety and health manager, and a project director of a property company that is a subsidiary of a statutory body.
They are suspected of colluding in the misappropriation of the charges.
The five-day remand order until Aug 9, 2026 was issued by Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah following an application by the MACC at the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court this morning.
According to a source, all three suspects, men in their 50s, were detained at 6pm yesterday at MACC headquarters.
"Initial investigations found that the three suspects colluded in committing the act between 2017 and 2019," the source said today.
The source said the remand followed investigations by a special team set up to review and scrutinise the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Tabung Haji.

Meanwhile, MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman, when contacted, confirmed the arrests and said the case is being investigated under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.
