So-Young Names Nan Shen as Chief Financial Officer

The former independent director takes over the finance, human resources, legal and compliance functions effective Aug 3, 2026.

BEIJING – So-Young International Inc. (Nasdaq: SY), described as the leading aesthetic treatment platform in China, has announced that its board of directors has appointed Ms Nan Shen as Chief Financial Officer, effective Aug 3, 2026.

In her new role, Shen will oversee the company's finance, human resources, legal and compliance functions.

Shen has served on the board since October 2023, when she joined as an independent director. In connection with her appointment as CFO, she has stepped down from the board's audit committee, compensation committee, and nominating and corporate governance committee, but will continue to serve as a director of the company.

Shen was chief financial officer of Gaotu Techedu Inc. (NYSE: GOTU) from December 2018 to May 2026, and senior vice-president of the same company from October 2023 to May 2026.

Before that, she was CFO of China Sinoedu Co., Ltd. from November 2017 to November 2018, running its VIE in Shandong Yingcai University. She held various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers between February 2012 and November 2017, ending as assurance manager, and was based in the firm's Greater Michigan office from September 2014 to July 2016.

Prior to February 2012, she was an investment manager at Dalian Port & Shipping Industry Fund, where she also handled investor relations.

Shen obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in financial management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in 2006 and 2009 respectively, and an executive MBA from Tsinghua University in June 2025. She is a certified public accountant in China.
