TVET produces creative, innovative talent, says Raja of Perlis

The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, said innovation was no longer an option in a constantly changing world, but the foundation of the country's progress and competitiveness.
He said technological developments such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation, robotics and digitalisation were reshaping the employment and industrial landscape today.
"I hope the culture of innovation continues to be nurtured among the Polytechnic community and graduates.
"It is not merely about generating new ideas, but translating ideas into solutions that benefit society and contribute to national development," he said at the Northern Zone Polytechnic and Community College Convocation Ceremony 2026 at Dewan Harumanis, Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS) here yesterday. The convocation runs until Sunday and involves 6,104 Polytechnic and Community College graduates from Perlis, Kedah and Penang.
