The company formerly known as Sapura Energy secures transportation and installation as well as tender-assisted drilling rig services jobs in Malaysia.
PETALING JAYA – Vantris Energy Berhad, formerly known as Sapura Energy, has further strengthened its position in the oil and gas industry after securing new contracts for transportation and installation (T&I) services as well as tender-assisted drilling rig (TADR) services in Malaysia.
The company said the contracts lifted its order book to more than RM6 billion, reflecting continued client confidence in its ability to deliver offshore projects and to develop solutions that meet industry needs.
Engineering and construction
For its Engineering and Construction (E&C) segment, wholly owned subsidiary VTEB Offshore Sdn. Bhd. — previously Sapura Offshore Sdn. Bhd. — received a work order from Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. to provide T&I services under an existing contract for offshore facilities.
The works began in the second quarter of 2026 and are scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027.
Drilling segment
Vantris Energy's Drilling business unit also received a Notice of Assignment from Petronas Carigali as well as a new contract from Vestigo Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. to provide TADR services.
The contracts are expected to start progressively in the third quarter of 2026, involving the development of offshore drilling campaigns in Malaysia.
Vantris Energy group chief executive officer Muhammad Zamri Jusoh said the company was entering the new financial year with a clearer strategic direction and a stronger operational foundation following the completion of its restructuring process.
"These contracts reflect the continued progress made in rebuilding the business through disciplined and focused execution," he said in a statement. (Translated from Bahasa Melayu.)
He added that the company's priority is to strengthen its position in core markets where it has a proven track record, strong customer relationships and solid execution capabilities.
