Chinese Health Centre Dupes 100+ Elderly with Fake Detox Scam Using Soy Sauce
Beijing authorities have arrested more than 30 people in connection with an elaborate fraud targeting vulnerable seniors. The scam used soy sauce-tainted cleansing liquids to convince over 100 elderly victims they harboured dangerous toxins, resulting in losses exceeding 10 million yuan.
